Baltimore Bend Vineyard Winery

Tasting Policy

On April 1, 2015, we went to a pay to taste arrangement at the tasting room. After much internal discussion and research throughout the wine industry, we began a new tasting policy at the winery. Wine tastings are offered to customers at a price of $5 for 8 wine samples. We also will be offering $1 per taste if guests would prefer fewer than 8 wines. The limit on wine samples will be 8 which we believe allows our guests to try enough of our wines to get a feel for the wine style and taste, while also being responsible with alcoholic beverages. Customers are welcome to split their tastes with another individual too.

We appreciate your support, and your patronage, and hope to see you at the winery soon!

We offer a number of discounts at the winery when purchasing wine, including:

  • 4 bottle BBV reuseable bag – 5 percent off purchase
  • 6 bottles – 5 percent off purchase
  • 12 or more bottles – 10 percent off purchase
  • Wine of the month discounts – 5 percent off individual bottles of the wine of the month; 15 percent off full cases of wine of the month.

Hours of Operation

We are open 7 days a week to the public – Monday through Saturday 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday 1 to 6 pm. These hours continue through December 31.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Chambourcin is the Wine of the Month – November

As the days get shorter and the nights get cooler, it’s the perfect month for a dry red wine to warm you up! We’ve selected the 2011 Chambourcin as our November wine of the month to coincide with the Missouri Wine & Grape Board’s varietal spotlight.

The Chambourcin grape variety is a French-American hybrid that we grow. It is a medium-bodied, red wine that is the perfect gateway to dry red wines. Fruity (think cherry) and earthy with soft tannins, this wine is great on its own but even better with food. Pair with pork, burgers or red sauced pasta. Top it off with mushrooms to bring out the earthiness of the wine. Take Chambourcin to the tailgate, bonfire or have on hand as your go-to red house wine.
Looks like: violets
Smells like: cherries and light oak
Tastes like: dark cherry meets earthiness
Feels like: smooth, soft tannins
Likes: pork, burgers, red-sauce pasta, tailgates, bonfires
Throughout the month, receive 5% off bottles of this variety, or 15% off full cases of the 2011 Chambourcin.

Kris Kringle Release Date – Nov. 14

This year’s Kris Kringle is in the bottle and waiting for release on Saturday Nov. 14. This year’s art was created by our very own Mary Scanlin.
